Nothing Phone 2a Rumored to Feature 50MP Camera, 1080p Display

New leaks on the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a showed its emphasis on becoming a budget-friendly device featuring a 50MP camera and 1080p display.

Nothing Phone 2a is the Budget-Friendly Version of Nothing Phone 2

According to reports, Nothing is planning to make the Phone 2a the trimmed-down version of the existing Phone 2 model. An exclusive report from SmartPrix revealed that it will have a primary 50MP Samsung S5KGN9 shooter with a 1/1.5" sensor size and 1.0-micron pixel size. It is suspected to have a dual camera in horizontal design.

On the other hand, the secondary camera is a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultrawide camera with a 1/2.76" sensor and 0.64-micron pixel size. Meanwhile, the front camera setup will be a 32MP Sony IMX615 which is quite different from previous reports that suspected a 16MP front camera.

As for the display, it is reported to have a 120Hz AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1084x2412 pixels. It was also leaked that it will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. The device is expected to boast a 6.7" front display.

The Nothing Phone 2a is expected to launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 and is reportedly to be released in four regions: India, Japan, Europe, and Global. Compared to the recent Nothing Phone 2, the budget-focused phone will be more accessible and available to more countries.

In addition, rumors showed that it would be sold in two colors such as black and white. SmartPrix also revealed the exclusive wallpapers that will be featured on the Nothing Phone 2a. The phone will release seven wallpapers such as "Ruxe", "Azunim White", "Orbique", Rubrane Black", "Ambra", and "Virmar."

The Nothing Phone 2a will make its debut at the "Nothing to See" event at the MWC 2024 on February 27 in Barcelona, Spain. Some Nothing enthusiasts are also expecting to get some details on the Nothing Phone 3.
