Brave Search announced its new free-to-use CodeLLM feature which is designed to provide in-depth results to queries about programming, summarizations, and LLMs.
The CodeLLM offers a step-by-step guide and citations of the sources as reference and validation.
Brave Search's CodeLLM Targets Programming-Related Queries
According to Brave Search, CodeLLM is capable of automatically detecting programming-related queries. Hence, the process is less complicated as there is no need to generate a special search.
The technology is powered by the LLM Mixtral which uses text prompts to generate code. In a demo video, Brave Search detailed how CodeLLM works wherein the AI generates a step-by-step tutorial from the query.
Despite catering to programmers, the new feature is beginner-friendly and anyone can try using it. Users that have Brave Search as the default search engine can simply start typing their query on the address bar. Meanwhile, non-default users can try it by visiting search.brave.com.
Brave Search Opens Safe Programming Browser for All
Brave Search is known for being an independent and global-scale search. Despite being launched only two years ago, the search engine receives an average of 25 million queries per day.
With the new addition of an AI-powered tool, the company clarified that it will be available to all Brave Search users both on desktop and mobile. The CodeLLM is free and is automatically integrated into the search engine to avoid compromising the user's privacy.
"We are excited to release CodeLLM in Brave Search and are already considering a number of improvements and additions to its capabilities," the company wrote.
As of writing, Brave Search confirmed that CodeLLM will be offered soon through the Brave Search API.
