Xbox Struggles Among PlayStation, Nintendo Sales
Over the past years, Xbox has been struggling to keep up with the popularity of its top console competitors such as PlayStation and Nintendo. Microsoft has managed to keep the platform afloat through the Xbox Game Pass.
To resolve its profitability problem, Xbox is reportedly seeking revenue from other markets. Previously, the console opened console-exclusive games to steer the interest to Xbox.
Some of the popular Xbox exclusives are reportedly soon going to be available across platforms. This includes Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, and more. However, there are still speculations about the possibility of letting all Xbox titles be available on multiplatform.
Console Platform Exclusivity
Console platform exclusive has been a known practice in the gaming industry. The strategy is often used by console manufacturers to isolate the game's popularity and translate it to hardware sales.
Xbox and PlayStation had a long-standing rivalry between their titles. Recently, some of the Xbox exclusives have started to come to other consoles like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and The Last Remnant.
As of writing, Xbox has yet to confirm the news. For now, the gaming community is looking forward to playing some of the Xbox-exclusive game titles without needing to purchase the console and play it on their existing platform.
