You can now score the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $149.99 from Amazon, a considerable savings over the $349.99 Sprint currently charges.

The Samsung Galaxy Note has quickly become the gold standard of phablets. Samsung started the craze of oversized smartphones and it did so very successfully. Its latest flagship Galaxy Note 3 has already sold well over 10 million units, cementing itself as the best selling phablet of all time.

The smartphone ships with a bright and crisp 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED screen that makes whatever you're doing on it look magnificent. Samsung also made sure to pack in high-end internals such as a 2.3Ghz quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM to ensure it will always be up to the challenge of handling whatever you throw its way.

Amazon is offering the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note for an awesome price of $149.99, which is a far better deal than the $349.99 Sprint is charging online and in its retail stores. The carrier just released an update to the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat and here are a few of the firmware's latest features:

  • New Lock Screen Access
  • Media Controls - full-screen album art and media controls when listening to music
  • Camera Shortcut - access the Camera application right from the lock screen
  • SMS App Chooser - select a default application for sending and receiving SMS text messages
  • Restyled Status and Navigation Bars - these bars are now translucent and can sit on top of apps, along with simplified status bar icons
  • Consolidated Location Settings - location services are integrated and more detailed by new Location menu
  • Expanded Emoji Icons
  • Wireless Printing - supports printing over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • Prevention Information pop-up message is suppressed

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi) and runs Android 4.3 with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top, but you'll be able to download an OTA (over the air) update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat right out of the box. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 3GB of RAM. Its camera capabilities include a 13-megapixel illuminated rear camera with "smart stabilization" and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, with both cameras able to record 1080p HD video.

The Galaxy Note 3 includes 32GB of internal storage and has a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB of additional memory. Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster to turn the Note 3 into a universal remote control that also features a dedicated program guide. Samsung chose to give the Galaxy Note 3 a more premium feel by using a faux-leather back and ships the Note 3 with a large removable 3,200 mAh battery that will provide up to 23 hours of talk time.

You can now pick up the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $149.99 when signing a new 2-year contract with the carrier, and Amazon is also including free two-day shipping with the order.
