The next-generation HTC One, dubbed the HTC M8, has leaked yet again ahead of the big unveiling, this time appearing in AnTuTu benchmark scores.
The HTC One successor is expected to make its debut later this month, on March 25. The company may have tried to keep its secret under wraps, but the purported device keeps leaking on an almost daily basis.
After appearing in a number of leaked photos, a hands-on video, a retail listing, and FCC filings, the purported HTC One successor has now popped up in some benchmarks.
The image above has surfaced on Chinese website Weibo and shows what is believed to be the HTC M8, or whatever it may be called when it officially launches. The benchmarks show the HTC One successor scores higher than top-end devices currently available on the market, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Xperia Z Ultra, and others.
While nothing is confirmed at this point, various leaks and reports have tried to paint a picture of what to expect from HTC's 2014 flagship smartphone. Based on speculation so far, the new powerhouse is expected to sport a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz under the hood. The handset is expected to come with at least 2GB of RAM and be available in 32GB and 64GB internal storage configurations. Recent leaks have also indicated that the HTC One successor will boast twin 5-megapixel rear cameras and dual flash.
The next-generation HTC flagship smartphone is also expected to rock the very latest version of Google's popular mobile operating system, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, out of the box. Also on the software side, the smartphone should come with HTC Sense 6.0, the company's newest UI.
As previously mentioned, however, all of the above-listed specs are based solely on speculation, which means that they may or may not turn out to be accurate. If the HTC M8 is indeed set to debut on March 25, we'll know all about it soon enough. In the meantime, take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt.
