Google Chrome Will Soon Provide Search Results Even During Poor Wi-Fi Network

Google has launched new features and improvements to the Chrome browser on Thursday. One of them will allow users to find search suggestions "even with a poor connection."

The search giant announced that it has "improved on-device capabilities" of its browser app for Android and iOS devices to provide search recommendations even with poor Wi-Fi connection.

The feature is available on the latest update of Chrome and in "Incognito Mode."

These changes are expected to make browsing on Chrome much faster.

Searching results in Chrome usually takes a huge amount of processing memory from the device and the browser, and a connection disruption will halt the whole search inquiry.

Chrome Debuts All-New Features for Search Recommendations

Aside from an improved search result connection, Google added several upgrades to the tool to make it more social.

The first feature added its "Trending Topics" directly into results suggestions by seeing other related topics on the keyword searched.

This means that for people searching for stuff about Taylor Swift, search results recommendations will also display other personalities recently involved with the singer aside from related suggestions.

More search results will also display images on them, including on the Android and iOS app versions, making it easier to identify each result.

The changes also apply to mobile devices, tablets and laptops on the Google Search app.

Google Debuts Gemini AI on Mobile Devices

The announcement of the new features comes after Google quietly launched its AI chatbot, Gemini, on Android devices as part of its ongoing testing.

Gemini, which was rebranded from Bard AI, is being recommended by Google to its users as an add-on feature to help navigate Google-affiliated apps and as an all-around assistant.

However, some functions of the AI had been suspended after users noted that Gemini was generating "inaccurate" depictions of historical figures as people of color.
