Microsoft announced that the Xbox Mastercard is now available to all residents in the U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii with no annual fee.
The Xbox Mastercard was first introduced to Xbox Insiders last year as an early access bonus that gave players a new experience through a points system.
Xbox Mastercard Opens to Select Regions
The Xbox Mastercard allows gamers to earn card points that can be redeemed for digital games, add-ons, first payment of subscriptions, consoles, accessories, and more. According to Microsoft, there will be no annual fee and the card is issued by Barclays.
Cardholders can earn points for every $1 spent on purchases. For instance, Xbox and Microsoft purchases can give 5x card points on eligible products while using it to pay for Netflix and Disney+ can give 3x card points.
In addition, dining delivery services and everyday purchases are also credited for up to 3x card points on all eligible services. Card members can choose among five unique designs and have them personalized with their gamertag.
Xbox Mastercard Offers Unique Benefits to Cardmembers
Cardholders are also entitled to several benefits such as a bonus of 5,000 card points, equivalent to $50 value, after their first purchase and three months' worth of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new members.
"Both new and existing cardmembers can earn two 3-month codes to gift to friends or family to try Game Pass Ultimate for the first time when $7,000 or more is spent within first 12 months of opening the card account," Xbox explained.
New and existing cardholders can also get three months of Spotify Premium individual as long as it's their first time subscribing to the service. There is also a $10 Fraud Liability protection to avoid unauthorized transactions.
All benefits are offered to both new and existing card members. Gamers who are interested in getting the Xbox Mastercard must be 18 years old and above and must live within the available regions.
