Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses Introduces Video Calls, Virtual Assistant

Meta demonstrated how smart glasses users can now share their video through video calls on WhatsApp and Messenger, allowing hands-free actions. During video calls, people can see the same view as the smart glasses user.

In addition, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are rolling out the Meta AI with Vision which gives access to an AI assistant that helps people connect and finish tasks.

"Just say, "Hey Meta," and ask away! You can control the glasses using voice commands, and thanks to Meta AI, even get access to real-time information," the company explained.

The Meta AI is now rolling out to all Ray-Ban smart glasses across the U.S. and Canada in beta.

Meta Launches New Styles for Ray-Ban Smart Glasses

The smart glasses collection has also expanded in terms of styles. The new Skyler frames boast a cat eye design, perfectly suited for people with smaller faces.

Moreover, the company also shared that a new low bridge option is now available for the Headliner framers. The new style was added to accommodate concerns about the glasses sliding down the nose or if they sit too low on the face.

Both styles are now open for pre-order on Meta and Ray-Ban official websites. They are also offered in 15 countries including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe.

Meta also announced its exclusive collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari colorway for Miami 2024. The Ray-Ban Meta for Scuderia Limited Edition will be available starting April 24 and will only be offered in a limited edition.
