President Joe Biden is set on selling the American "comeback story" to the voters as the administration boasted the long-term advanced chip manufacturing investments done within his term.
Biden's reelection campaign is now focused on highlighting a better future for Americans as the administration is taking more steps toward technological advancements.
Biden Promises Better Future With Investments in STEM
The President shared his vision of coming to America after the elections. Previously, the Biden administration secured the initial phase of the New York project which is slated to open its first plant in 2028, its second plant in 2029, and so on.
In a statement, Biden expressed that it would be the most vital science and technology investment in U.S. history. He also emphasized how big of a deal these investments are.
"We're bringing advanced chip manufacturing back to America," he claimed.
The Biden administration is known for initiating the Micron project after providing $6.1 billion in government support. The fund will cover the development of a memory chip factory in Idaho, set to operate in 2026.
U.S. Advances in Advanced Chip Manufacturing
The government also supported the upcoming Intel factories in Arizona and Ohio. TSMC in Arizona, Samsung in Texas, and other chipmakers are also in line for developing their factories.
The Biden administration is focused on supplying funds to companies that will eventually boost the advancement of AI and electric vehicles to help the U.S. economy.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump argued that Biden's plans will potentially result in job loss in gasoline-powered autos. He also called it a "disaster" for manufacturers and others.
"They are actually unable to compete and will be forced to either lose lots of business, or build plants, or whatever, in the 'smart' countries," he added.
Biden previously went to Arizona, Ohio, and New York, to celebrate the ongoing initiative for the chip factories.
