Instagram continues to add new features for its users to keep things interesting, and the latest ones will have you heading to Stories to try them out. With the new stickers, users can encourage their followers to interact with their posts.
New Instagram Stories Stickers
Instagram Stories has been around for some time, and it has seen a lot of additions to help users make their stories more eye-catching. In fact, this isn't the first time that the photo-centric app released a tool that urges people to interact with posts.
For instance, the 'Add Yours' template lets users create or add to an existing template that another user has started. With the new stickers, anyone can add elements to their Stories that provide their followers with more ways to connect with them.
In case you don't know, the app already allows you to post linked music through Stories, but one of the new features can combine the music sticker with the 'Add Yours' template. That means that people can also share the songs they want to add to the track you shared.
Once a follower taps on the "Add Yours Music" icon, they will be able to select a song from Instagram's music library, as mentioned in Meta's blog post. The site has an extensive enough catalog of songs to let you have your pick.
The Frames sticker is a new way for you to highlight special memories by turning any photo into an instant print. It automatically adds the date and timestamp based on when the photo was taken. To reveal the photo, viewers will have to shake their phones.
Instagram's Reveal sticker, on the other hand, will give you full control over who sees the blurred photo. Once the sticker is applied, you can add a hint about what the photo is about, and friends and followers will have to send you a DM to reveal it.
In a way, it's Instagram's sneaky way of encouraging people to use direct messages, and it can also help you spark conversations with people you're close to. You can see what the photo would look like once revealed by tapping on the Preview icon.
Lastly, there's the Cutouts tool, which allows you to create stickers from any image or video from your camera roll. Once created, they will stay on your sticker tray so that you can use them again anytime you want. You either manually select the object or let Instagram generate it automatically.
The 'Add Yours' Tool
The 'Add Yours' sticker was released back in 2021, and it is still widely used on the app to this day. When creating a Story, you can include GIFs, texts, or images that will become part of the template that others can use.
There's even a "Started by" credit to let people know that you created the template, especially if it becomes a popular one. This, however, will not work if your account is private or if you shared your story with Close Friends.
