The next-generation Pixel Tablet will start introducing the circle-to-search feature next month upon its release.
The circle-to-search feature was first released on Pixel tablet owners during the release of Android 15 Beta 1.2 via OTA update.
Circle-to-Search on Upcoming Pixel Tablet
Circle-to-Search was first launched in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series back in January. Later on, it was added to Google's Pixel 8 series. Other previous models have started to receive the feature as well.
The circle-to-search feature is now available on Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, and 7a. Samsung also expanded the feature to its Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
After months of waiting, the feature finally arrives on the Pixel Tablet. Circle-to-search will allow tablet users to circle or highlight the content they want to search on Google.
To enable it, users must press and hold the bottom of the navigation bar. Google Search will immediately process the selection and will reveal relevant results within a few moments.
Google Confirms Standalone Pixel Tablet Without Dock
Google relaunched its Pixel Tablet which finally gives customers the freedom to opt out of the magnetic dock. The 11-inch tablet is now available to purchase as a standalone device which helped cut its price.
The standalone Pixel Tablet retained its specs from last year which featured the Tensor G2 processor, Wi-Fi 6 support, 8GB of RAM, and 128 GB storage space. The device also has the same fingerprint sensor and other familiar specs.
The dockless Pixel Tablet is open for pre-orders for only $399. Users who will buy the tablet can still purchase the dock later on as a separate device. Google offers it for $129 and it comes in hazel and porcelain colors to match the tablet.
More details about the new features of the Pixel lineup are expected to be revealed at the Google I/O event next week. The Pixel Tablet will start shipping on May 14.
