Helldivers 2 remains unpurchasable in 177 countries even a week after PlayStation walked back on its decision to require PC players to link their accounts to the region-locked PlayStation Network.
As of writing, the purchase action on Helldivers 2's Steam page remains unavailable, noting that the game still "requires a 3rd-party account."
In a Reddit post on Friday, Steam's parent company Valve told one of the players that the delisting was due to the publisher, PlayStation, and not the store site.
PlayStation has yet to respond to the latest criticisms on Helldivers 2's region-locked Steam page.
Helldivers 2 Developers Call for Worldwide Availability
Amid the fan backlash, Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Games already urged the publishers to make the game "available worldwide" as more future players are blocked from accessing the game.
This was after PlayStation reportedly region-locked three more countries from purchasing the game.
Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt claimed that the addition of Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia to the delisted countries was an "administrative error connection" as the three nations were originally part of the list where PSN is unavailable.
The delay in the game's availability has since caused another surge of review bombing as disgruntled players call for Sony "to be held accountable."
Helldivers 2 first received a surge of negative reviews after its initial announcement on the PSN account-linking requirement.
It is only later when PlayStation reversed the plan that the game earned back some positive feedback, at least that was the case until now.

Game Store Blocks Pre-Orders for Other PSN-Required Games
Following the PSN controversy on Helldivers 2, game stores have been noted to be blocking pre-orders of other PSN-required games, including the upcoming Director's Cut for Ghost of Tsushima.
According to a Eurogamer report, players who pre-ordered the game via Steam, Epic Games, and Green Man Gaming are being refunded.
It is worth noting that only the multiplayer portion of the game requires a PSN account, while the campaign story is single-player and can be played offline.
It remains uncertain if this decision was from PlayStation itself or the stores' discretion.
