Walmart InHome Delivery Extends Service to Other Cities

Walmart first introduced InHome delivery in 2019 as a new way to experience shopping for customers in Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and Vero Beach. Over the years, the company earned millions through the service.

Today, Walmart shared that it will add new cities where customers can opt for the InHome delivery service.

"The expansion of InHome comes at the perfect time for families in Boston who are embarking on the busy summer season and are looking for faster, more convenient ways to complete those everyday chores," said Haley McShane, general manager of InHome at Walmart U.S.

InHome is available to all members of Walmart+ for the additional price of $12.95 per month or $98 per year. Customers can also add an unlimited fee-free and tip-free service for $7 per month.

How Walmart InHome Delivery Works

Customers can choose the InHome delivery service as they shop on Walmart's official website or app. The list of eligible items for store delivery is available and they can pick the InHome option as their delivery mode.

According to Walmart, only highly trained InHome associates are tasked to deliver the goods to the customer's location. The associate can also use a one-time access code to unlock the customer's door, if applicable.

The retail giant also assured the level of security as every associate is equipped with a wearable camera on their vest. The entire delivery process will be recorded and customers can access it from their phones for up to seven days after each delivery.
