Naughty Dog has provided us with video games that made us care for fictional characters more than we care to admit such as Joel Miller, Ellie Williams, Nathan Drake, and more. Well, there's good news for fans of the studio as it announced its plans to create more single-player games.

Naughty Dog is Making More Games

Admittedly, we are still waiting for The Last of Us 3 because a lot of the fans refuse to believe that the ending for the sequel was final. And yes, Neil Druckmann already said that it's happening, and on top of that, the studio will gift us with new titles.

The franchise set in a post-apocalyptic world is arguably what made Naughty Dog skyrocket to fame in the gaming world, but the studio doesn't want it to be defined by that single franchise "forever," With that said, it is preparing for "multiple single-player projects."

Sadly, all we get for now is the announcement of new games in the future as Druckmann left out details about whether it's already in the works or still in the concept phase, as reported by Digital Trends. Regardless, fans would be excited about the new titles coming our way.

In a post on X, Druckmann expressed that he is not only excited for the game that they're making, which is "something really fresh" for them but is also excited to see how the world reacts to it. The Last of Us certainly had a lot of strong opinions about it.

"Because of The Last of Us, and the success of the show, people even outside of gaming are looking at us to see what it is that we put out next. I'm very excited to see what the reaction to this thing will be," he added.

While the "multiple titles" have very few details revealed about them, there is one that the studio has supposedly been working on since May 2023, so we might be seeing a new game sooner than we think, and hopefully, it's as ingenious as its previous titles.

The Last of Us 3 News

Since Naughty Dog has been tight-lipped about the development of the third game in the franchise, fans of The Last of Us have to rely on rumors about the upcoming game. Many would say that the game could not arrive soon enough.

The sequel's ending left players empty inside as Ellie, who has become the main character in the second game, ended up being alone in the end. If you have played the game or watched the show, you'd know how that's what Ellie feared the most. 

According to Dexterto, Druckmann already mentioned that a plot and story for The Last of Us Part 3 is already done. But, it's not in development yet. It's still nice to know that the game is already seeing some progress and will actually be developed. 

Naughty Dog working on several new titles is a huge factor as to why the development of The Last of Us Part 3 is taking longer. "The outline of the script is ready, but the studio is engrossed in the development of the aforementioned projects," the studio stated.
