TF2 Gamers Seeks Accountability From Valve

On the official petition site, fans claimed that the game has become "nearly unplayable" for the past five years. The issue is mainly caused by the increasing cheating aimbots on the game's official servers.

In addition, the fans called out Valve's lack of action towards the problem despite being aware of the issue for a long time. "This lack of developer interference has thrown the game into a state of turmoil with seemingly no end in sight," the site stated.

The fans also shared that Valve only cared about its revenue instead of fixing the game. It cited the in-game microtransactions that generate millions of profit for the company despite its issues.

TF2 Suffers From Overpopulation of Aimbots

According to the report, the aimbots are programmed to join casual servers. With their perfect aim, the bots are tasked to insta-kill and kick innocent players during in-game plays.

Aside from ruining the gameplay, the bot hosters are allegedly using aimbots to attack and harass community members. Several players have reported abuse in-game through text and voice chats.

The petition also revealed that the bot hosters will often dox and share the personal information of other players without consent. They also utilize AI voice modifiers to impersonate and slander other parties.

The petition #SaveTF2 and #FixTF2 are still accepting signatories to support the cause. The strong fanbase of the game is now calling for a zero-tolerance policy and accountability from Valve.
