Samsung ‘Warhol’ tablet with 13.3-inch display, WQHD resolution (2560 x 1600) spotted

New details have surfaced regarding a large Samsung tablet with a 13.3-inch display, boasting a high resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.

Samsung has pledged to focus more on tablets in 2014 and the company seems quite dedicated to this endeavor. After launching several tablets already this year, Samsung apparently has a few more slates in the works, including a large model with a massive 13.3-inch display.

Rumors of a 13.3-inch Samsung tablet first surfaced back in 2013, but no such model hit the market so far. The company launched 12.2-inch tablets with its high-end Galaxy Tab Pro and Galaxy Note Pro, but no 13.3-inch model.

If a new report is to be believed, the rumored 13.3-inch tablet from Samsung may hit the market later this year. The folks over at GSM Arena have received a tip detailing three unannounced Samsung tablets, including this large variant.

The 13.3-inch tablet codenamed "Warhol" has leaked alongside two other slates, one with an 8.x display and another with a 10.x screen, which will likely launch as part of Samsung's rumored Galaxy S lineup of tablets.

According to the leak, this "Warhol" slate has model numbers T911 and T910, which are expected to be the 3G (perhaps 3G + LTE) and the Wi-Fi versions, respectively. It's also worth pointing out that the "T" in the model number indicates that the tablet will launch as part of Samsung's Galaxy Tab lineup, not Galaxy Note series.

While GSM Arena did not receive the full specifications of the tablet, it does "confirm" that the device will boast a 13.3-inch display with a WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The publication further notes that this model will likely have an LCD display, as opposed to the Super AMOLED display expected for 8.x and 10.x tablets mentioned in the same leak.

Processor, camera, storage, RAM, or other details remain unknown at this point. No details are currently available regarding this purported tablet's launch or price either, but Samsung may make an announcement at the IFA 2014 trade show later this year.

As always with leaks and speculation, however, it's highly advisable to take everything with a healthy dose of skepticism until an official announcement.
