Google Promotes FAST Services With New Feature

In a blog post, Google shared that it currently holds more than 20 million active Google TV and Android TV OS users. Google TV is promoted as a media-streaming platform for smart TVs and streaming boxes, allowing users to stream from their favorite apps.

Moreover, Google reported that free channels are often watched for up to 75 minutes on average per day. FAST channels have been used as a cheap alternative to cable service, making it a perfect place for ads.

In the U.S., around 60% of households rely on ad-supported streaming channels. The Google TV Network has over 125 built-in channels where advertisers can strategically place their ads to reach a bigger audience.

Google TV Network Helps Advertisers Reach More Audience

The Google TV Network is available directly on Google Ads and Google Display & Video 360. Advertisers can plan, buy, and measure their campaigns and add them to their existing digital materials.

"Today, the Google TV network offers staple CTV ad formats, including non-skippable and 6-second bumpers ads. Stay tuned for even more ad formats in the future," the company wrote.

Advertisers can add audience segments to strategically place their ad groups based on their target audience. For instance, they can place them based on their audiences' interests, habits, and preferences.

As of writing, the feature is exclusively available to U.S. advertisers only. Google announced that locations outside the region must be excluded upon setting the ads.
