Netflix Unveils Labor Day Event With Chestnut, Kobayashi

In a press release, Netflix shared a showdown between Chestnut, who currently holds the world title for competitive eating, and Kobayashi, who will come for revenge. Both competitive eaters have acknowledged each other as rivals.

"I know that fans have waited a long time for another chapter of our rivalry and I can't wait for our massive showdown live on Netflix! It's time to give the people what they want!" Chestnut stated.

"Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef" will be added to Netflix's collection of live sports events. Previously, the platform held "The Netflix Slam" and "The Netflix Cup." The "Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson" is also happening on November 15.

Netflix Supports Competitive Eating

Chestnut has 55 world records for competitive eating. He is also known for holding the world record for eating the most hot dogs, 76 pieces, in 10 minutes. He has won Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog-Eating Contest 16 times.

Meanwhile, Kobayashi, dubbed the "godfather of competitive eating," holds a record of winning Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog-Eating Contest for six consecutive times. He also has over 10 world records under his belt.

Both competitive eaters have been headlining the hot dog-eating contest. However, it will be their first match 15 years after Chestnut beat Kobayashi in a five-hot dog "sudden death" competition in 2009.

Netflix has yet to reveal the exact location and specific time slot for the Labor Day event.
