Samsung has just announced a very intriguing Galaxy Premiere 2014 event, where the company will unveil its latest tablet offering(s) with a promise of a colorful splash.
The company's upcoming Galaxy Premiere 2014 event will take place next month, on June 12, in New York City (NYC). Samsung promises to "Tab into Color" at the event, and the teaser invite (see above) shows a slim tablet posing for the camera in a number of colorful paint jobs and mixed hues.
As expected, Samsung did not offer many details at this point, as the company wants to build up excitement ahead of the event. It does, however, give a few hints on what to expect, and a number of recent leaks may also help anticipate what's about to come.
Samsung pledged to focus more of its efforts on tablets this year, and so far it has been true to this goal. After launching several slates already in 2014, the company still has more to offer and various other unannounced tablets have leaked recently.
Most notably, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.1 tablet has recently leaked online with a high-resolution 2560 x 1600 display and an octa-core Samsung Exynos 5420 chipset on board. This device dropped by the FCC last week, suggesting an imminent launch, and it may be the star of the Galaxy Premiere 2014 event.
"Last year around this time of the month, Samsung held the Samsung Premiere 2013 in London. At this event, Samsung unveiled following devices that you are probably very familiar with: Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom, ATIV Book 9, ATIV Book 9 Lite, ATIV Tab 3 and more," the company touts in a new blog post on Thursday, May 15.
"However, as you might have noticed this year the event title includes the word 'Galaxy,' which indicates that the device is going to be Android based. Also the 'Tab into Color' suggests that we can safely assume the event is going to be about a mobile device, a very colorful one, right?"
Other than these playful teaser comments, the company maintains the mystery regarding its upcoming announcement. Nonetheless, it will all be official in less than a month, so it's not that long of a wait. The Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 will take place on June 12 at the Madison Square Garden Theater in NYC (4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10001). The gates will be open starting from 18:00 local time (EDT), with the presentation set to start at 19:00.
