UK carrier Three has started selling the Copper Gold version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 on its website and in its retail stores.
Apple started a whole trend when it launched its iPhone 5S in a gold color option, and golden hues have apparently become a must-have for high-end smartphones. Other device makers followed suit and gold versions of smartphones seem to be the most popular.
When the Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone made its debut in the UK, the gold color option was exclusively available from Vodafone. It now seems that this exclusivity has come to an end, as carrier Three has now started offering the Gold Samsung Galaxy S5 as well.
This means that Samsung fans looking for a Galaxy S5 handset in Copper Gold now have more options to choose from, as they are no longer limited to just one carrier. Three UK is offering the Gold Samsung Galaxy S5 for a £69 upfront cost, while the monthly plans start at £38 per month.
For this price, interested customers can get either all-you-can eat data and 600 minutes, or all-you-can-eat minutes and 2GB of data, with a standard 2-year contract. Three is also offering all-you-can-eat data and all-you-can-eat minutes with another Galaxy S5 contract plan, but the price goes up to £41 per month, with the same £69 upfront cost for the device.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the company's latest flagship smartphone and comes with high-end specs and features, including a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the handset packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM for a fast and fluid performance.
Other specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for up to 128GB of additional memory, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front shooter, and a large 2,800 mAh battery to keep things up and running. On the software side, the Samsung Galaxy S5 runs the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box.
If you're looking for a Copper Gold Samsung Galaxy S5 but Vodafone is not your carrier of choice, you can now get the smartphone from Three UK's website at this link, or find it in the carrier's retail stores.
