Netflix Unveils More Cast Members for 'One Piece Live Action' Season 2

Netflix has started revealing more cast members for the upcoming second season of the "One Piece Live Action" series, this time focusing on the "Alabasta Saga's" main villain group, the Baroque Works.

Most notable in the announcement is the inclusion of American actor, director, and producer David Dastmalchian cast as Mr. 3.

"The Suicide Squad" and "Late Night with the Devil" star is the first major actor cast in the live-action adaptation, contrasting earlier casting calls for rising international actors.

Well, at least if Netflix did not decide to push through with fans' plea to cast Academy Awards winner Jamie Lee Curtis for Tony Tony Chopper's adoptive mother and mentor Dr. Kureha.

Along with Dastmalchian, Jazzara Jaslyn will portray the Kilo-Kilo Fruit eater "Miss Valentine" with her partner, "Mr. 5," played by Camrus Johnson.

Miss Wednesday's partner, "Mr. 9," has also been announced to be played by Zimbabwean actor and director Daniel Lasker.

No announcements have yet been made on who will portray Mr. 5's partner, "Miss Goldenweek," as well actors for Baroque Works' leaders "Mr. 0" and "Miss All Sunday."

Early Netflix Shoots Hint Cast Member for 'Princess Vivi' Role

In addition to the Baroque Works members, speculations and hints on the actress cast to play "Princess Nefertari Vivi" have started circulating online following reports of Netflix starting recordings for the show's second season.

Earlier this month, Netflix's "Bridgerton" actress Charithra Chandran was rumored to play Vivi after she was sighted along with several Straw Hat crew actors, including Iñaki Godoy who plays "Monkey D. Luffy."

Princess Vivi is expected to play a major role in the series' second season, guiding the Straw Hat pirates on their journey to Alabasta and stopping the looming civil war.

How Far into the Story 'One Piece Live Action' Season 2 Will Cover?

While Netflix and the live production team remain silent on how far into the "Alabasta Saga" the second season will cover, the casting calls and announcements may provide more hints.

Earlier reported casting calls indicate that Season 2 will focus only on the saga's first half.

The absence of casting calls for "Tony Tony Chopper," "Mr. 0," and other Baroque Works members introduced in the Alabasta Kingdom hints that the second season will end at the "Little Garden Arc."

Dastmalchian's casting seems to only further prove these speculations.

Netlfix's "One Piece Live Action" Season 2 is scheduled to release sometime in 2025.
