Within just three days, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has sold over 5 million copies and placed itself as Steam Deck's "Most Played" game right after launch.

With many people eager to play the much-awaited DLC, Elden Ring has topped the Steam Deck charts for over a month now as its DLC became developer FromSoftware's most successful DLC release.

Even in Steam's overall "Most Played" charts, Elden Ring comfortably sits in fourth place as the only paid game on the Top 5 list.
Only a few games like Monster Hunter World and Rise have ever recorded huge sales for their expansion pack, much less reaching the 5 million mark within three days.
The Steam Deck report came in time as Elden Ring received a huge 30% discount as part of the game store's annual Summer Sale.
Elden Ring Sales, Records Expected to Grow After First Major Patch
With the hype it is currently garnering around the gaming community, Elden Ring is projected to surge past the 10 million mark soon, especially with the release of its first major patch fixing notable issues in the DLC.
Earlier this week, FromSoftware released its balance update to strengthen its DLC-exclusive "Shadowtree Blessings" and balance enemy bosses' damage.
Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco has also released a player guide to help the Tarnished find all the materials needed to upgrade the blessings.
Yet despite the updates, many players are still reporting several performance issues in the game's PC port.

More Souls-Like Games on Sale in Steam
Elden Ring is not the only Souls-like game currently on sale as the game store offers players craving for more difficult challenges to discover other worthy titles to include in their collection.
From Elden Ring's creators, FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is marked 50% off, while Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon can be bought for 30% less than its usual price.
Other notable Souls-like games such as Hollow Knight, Lies of P, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Nioh are also currently on sale for up to 50% off.
The Steam Summer Sale, along with its exclusive profile decorations, will be available until July 11.
