One of the more difficult Elden Ring bosses was single-handedly defeated by an eight-year-old boy, proving that FromSoftware games are not as inaccessible as many portrayed them to be.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, user @jnoe33 shared a clip of their son excitedly jumping around while fighting "Starscourge Radahn," one of the infamous bosses in the base game, without any assistance.
Players are normally allowed to use NPC summons to "join the festival" during this specific boss fight.
The eight-year-old boy, however, fought Radahn alone, letting all of the enemy's "aggro" and attacks focus on their player character. The post even claims that the kid's character is at a "very low level."
As of writing, the X post has over 3.3 million views, 55,000 likes, and 6,200 reposts and quotes as many Elden Ring fans expressed their amazement at the kid's talent.
8-Year-Old Elden Ring Player Showcases Skill in Radahn Fight
As many viewers have pointed out, the boy was even able to use invincibility frames, or "I-frames," by using his steed to dodge Radahn's huge area-of-effect attack.
The kid was also spotted several times looking back at the camera and holding the controller in one hand as the enemy boss launched a volley of attacks that killed many Tarnished.
These strategies are more common in longtime SoulsBorne players and speed runners utilizing all of the game's mechanics to defeat bosses.
That is why it is a surprise for many to see an eight-year-old use the same method to defeat only 53.9% of Steam players have done.
Elden Ring Fans Urge 8-Year-Old Boy to Play DLC
Following his accomplishment with Radahn, many Elden Ring fans have started urging the kid to challenge the game's recent DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.
Defeating Radahn is one of the requirements in accessing the DLC where players will encounter more difficult challenges, bosses, and enemies at the chance of getting new weapons and gears.
The DLC is currently considered one of the most difficult FromSoftware expansions to the point that many Elden Ring players even review-bombed the game on Steam.
As of writing, the kid's father has yet to indicate plans whether to finish the game or access the DLC first as their child "refuses to let me help him at all."
