ElevenLabs introduced an AI-powered update to its Reader app, allowing its users to listen to a narration voiced by Hollywood legends.

Icons such as Judy Garland, James Dean, Burt Reynolds, and Sir Laurence Olivier, are part of the "Iconic Voices Collection."

ElevenLabs Offers Enhanced Reading Experience

In an X post, the company revealed its latest update that was made possible by AI. The Reader app provides narration to articles, PDFs, newsletters, and any other text content through its expansive library.

The text reader can voice any length of text in high-quality and human-like voices. Its recent update showed that popular Hollywood icons can now narrate user's texts.

"Our family believes that this will bring new fans to Mama, and be exciting to those who already cherish the unparalleled legacy that Mama gave and continues to give to the world," said Liza Minnelli, daughter of Garland.

ElevenLabs collaborated with the estates of the Hollywood legends, allowing them to legally recreate their voices. Fans of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" can now experience a narration by Garland.

ElevenLabs Reader App Availability

The Reader app is fairly new in the market being only a week old. It is also now available on the Apple App Store while the Android version is still on its waiting list.

The service is also limited for now on iOS and iPadOS 15 and later users in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. ElevenLabs shared that it has plans to expand its service in the European Union region by July 11.

While the app itself is free, ElevenLabs is offering three months' worth of free unlimited access to its expansive library of quality voices.

Users are free to upload their own documents, copy and paste text, and link websites for the app to read back for them.
