Apple reportedly plans to release the much-awaited AI system, Apple Intelligence, and its upgraded Siri on the iOS 18.4 update next spring.

The tech giant officially introduced its homegrown AI system during this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), last June 10.

Apple to Release Apple Intelligence in 2025

Siri became the highlight event of the WWDC after months of speculation about its new capabilities. Apple boasted precise control inside the device's apps due to its new system.

The beta testing for the feature is rumored to start in January 2025 for developers, with a public debut around spring. The upgraded version of Apple's digital assistant will cater to users' prompts like editing a photo, sending messages, or getting personalized content recommendations.

Apple previously announced that it will also bring Apple Intelligence to Vision Pro, allowing more users to get a better hands-free experience with AI.

The latest iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia are now integrated with ChatGPT. GPT-4o powers Apple's systemwide writing tools for generating and refining content.

Apple's Redesigned Siri Now Available

The new Siri interface featuring a pulsing rainbow inside the screen bezel will soon be available to iPhone users. The redesign ditched the familiar plain circular graphic that has been around for years.

In addition, the improved basic functions of Siri are slated to debut this fall. For instance, users can soon dive into a deeper and more contextual conversation with the digital assistant through its new learning machine.

Outside the handheld devices, rumors have been circulating about an AI-powered tabletop robot. However, Apple has yet to confirm the details of this future home device.

The tech giant recently earned a board observer seat at OpenAI. The new role would allow Apple to observe the operations of the leading AI company and how some details could be used to further improve Apple Intelligence.
