Game Emulator Delta Launches Version for iPad With Recent Update

Game emulator Delta announced its availability to iPad after becoming a hit among iPhone users, following the recent version 1.6 update.

Delta has been popular in the apps due to its wide offering of retro games that were originally played on NES, N64, Game Boy, and more.

Delta Updates App, Provides Support for iPad Users

In a recent update, Delta shared that users are now able to enjoy its library of games in a larger display and play in fullscreen. In addition, new controller skins designed for iPad are also introduced in v1.6.

The app also launched support for multiple windows in Stage Manager and Split View. Some games also allow pausing when windows are switched. Gamers who previously played with the iPhone are welcome to resume their gaming progress on the iPad.

Emulator developer, Riley Testut, shared that BIOS files are now optional to streamline the setup process. The hands-off feature also offers support on Apple Silicon Macs via the Mac App Store.

Delta Promises Improved DS Game Compatibility

Testut shared that players will witness improved DS game compatibility and performance with the new update. It also supports "inserting" GBA games into the DS dual-slot.

The menu button gestures are also updated for the recent version. For instance, players can use gestures while holding the menu button for quick actions.

Holding "Menu + Horizontal Swipe" will fast forward the game, "Menu + Any Button" is for holding the action. In addition, quick saving is easier by simply holding "Menu + Double-Tap" and "Menu + Long-Press" for quick load.

Previously, Delta for iPad has been the least priority project by Testut. The original plan was to limit its launch in the EU through an alternative app marketplace.

The Delta emulator is available for free in the App Store in the U.S. and other countries.
