HTC One Mini 2 leaks with Verizon branding as HTC One Remix

The HTC One Remix has leaked yet again, appearing in a new image with Verizon branding, suggesting that it may soon hit Big Red's network.

When HTC unveiled its One Mini 2 smartphone, rumors started to appear that this handset would join Verizon's lineup as the HTC One Remix. Other than the Verizon branding and the different moniker, the smartphone is expected to be exactly the same as the HTC One Mini 2 in terms of specs.

The HTC One Mini 2 is the smaller version of the current HTC One (M8) flagship, sporting a more compact form factor and some watered-down specifications. Well-known tipster @evleaks has now posted a press render of the HTC One Remix, showing an HTC One Mini 2 look-alike with Verizon's logo on the front and back of the device.

Verizon has yet to make an official announcement in this regards, but @evleaks has an excellent track record when it comes to spilling the beans about yet-to-be-announced devices.

If it comes with identical specs as the HTC One Mini 2, the upcoming HTC One Remix should sport a 4.5-inch display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset under the hood, and 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for additional memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,100 mAh battery. On the software side, the handset comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat on board, with HTC's own Sense 6.0 user interface on top.

It may not be the highest-end smartphone out there, but it's a capable device nonetheless and should cater to those looking for a smaller, more affordable handset.

Keep in mind that the Verizon HTC One Remix remains in the rumor state, as neither HTC nor Verizon have made any official announcement in this regards so far. If @evleaks proves to be accurate, however, the HTC One Mini 2 should hit Big Red's network as the HTC One Remix soon enough. We'll bring you all the juicy details as soon as it gets official, so stay tuned. In the meantime, take everything with a grain of salt.
