Max Unveils Trailer for 'Game of Thrones' Spin-Off on Seven Kingdoms

Max revealed the first teaser trailer for another "Game of Thrones" spin-off called "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" which is a prequel to the original series.

The first look introduced the audience to Aegon V Targaryen and Ser Duncan the Tall, who will be known as Dunk and Egg.

Max Teases 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' Ahead of 2025 Premiere

The upcoming spin-off series is based on George R.R. Martin's "Tales of Dunk and Egg" novels. The show will span stories from "The Hedge Knight," "The Sworn Sword," and "Mystery Knight.

The story is set a century before the events of "Game of Thrones" making it an in-between timeline between the original series and the ongoing "House of the Dragon." The latter is a portrayal of events nearly 200 years before Daenerys was born.

"Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends," the official logline stated.

Max Eyes Expanded Original Series for 2024, 2025 Lineup

In a recent YouTube video, Max unveiled its official lineup for the following months of 2024 and early 2025. HBO confirmed that the first season of "A Knight of Seven Kingdoms" will feature six episodes.

The studio is also reportedly eyeing to maintain the show within three seasons, coinciding with the "House of the Dragon."

Max is scheduled to release "Industry" on August 11, "The Penguin" on September 19, "Dune Prophecy" on November, and a few original documentaries.

The 2025 lineup includes a new season of "The White Lotus," "The Last of Us," and "And Just Like That," along with new series such as "Duster," "The Gilded Age," and "IT: Welcome to Derry."
