There is now a way to sort the replies that users get in their X (formerly Twitter) posts and threads so it would be easier to view what other accounts contribute or how they react. This feature will sort such interactions into three main categories with its default being the "most relevant replies," the previous only option of classification.
It will also help other users, particularly influencers, when it comes to sorting replies that best suit their preference. Because of this, blue check verified accounts and their comments will not always be prioritized.
X Introduces Sort Replies Feature on Posts, Threads
According to the latest post by X's official account on the social media, users may now sort the replies that they receive from other account owners depending on their preference. The social media company said that it is rolling out this new feature for all users. It may not be available yet for everyone as of press time, but it is guaranteed that this feature will eventually arrive.
As previously mentioned, there are three options to choose from in this latest feature from X, allowing users to sort replies by "Most relevant replies," "Most recent replies," and "Most liked replies."
With this, users may set their priorities on viewing what other accounts reply to their posts or threads that will better help engagements. This is seen to be particularly useful to content creators or influencers who typically receive a huge wave of comments or insights.
Blue Verified Accounts No Longer Prioritized
It was noted by Engadget that through this sort replies feature, X Premium users who have been verified with the blue checks will no longer be necessarily a priority when showing the engagements.
Previously, the default setting was the most relevant replies were shown. Because of this, accounts verified with a blue check were ranked higher compared to regular ones, putting them on top of the list.
Elon Musk's X and Its Features
While changes that users are not too fond of and the somewhat negative social media experience have overshadowed Elon Musk's X, there are still a lot of useful features to enjoy on the platform.
Finding content on the platform is easy, and not everything relies on search. This is made possible by following Topics, joining Communities, customizing Explore, or using platform mods to help improve the experience.
Moreover, X is working on new improvements to the platform, with some already making their way to limited testing for selected users. Others are hidden behind its code. As an example, it was recently discovered that X is planning to bring a similar experience to Reddit's Downvote feature in the form of a broken heart button to expand more of its engagements.
Users who are using X as their main social media platform have a number of new features to look forward to and potentially enjoy upon arrival. With the introduction of the reply sorting feature, users can now get an improved experienced and a more organized way of filtering comments and insights.
