Nintendo's Recent Direct Event Talked About its Museum

Last August 19, the Japanese entertainment company held its Nintendo Museum Direct, which gave the world more information about a new destination to head to and learn more about its history first-hand. Specifically, the new Nintendo Museum is opening in October and can be found in Ogura, Kyoto, Japan.

This announcement is now particularly what the fans have been expecting as many thought new game announcements would be made. Fans have also been awaiting announcements pertaining to the Switch 2.

Nintendo Direct Events and What It Offers

Over the past years, Nintendo has been holding its Direct events, which give its audience and the rest of the world the latest news and drops that they are anticipating from the company. These events typically center on games, hardware announcements, and more.

Nintendo typically holds various Direct events throughout the year, and some showcase dates end up being relatively close to each other. Most of the announcements made by Nintendo during its Direct showcase involve its AAA-rated games, such as the latest from top franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, and more.

The most recent title that been unveiled during a Direct event took place earlier this year with the announcement of Super Mario Jamboree. It said to be the "biggest" version of this game.

However, recent expectations from the Nintendo Direct has revolved around what would be the successor of the Nintendo Switch, which is none other than the Switch 2. Fans who have been eagerly awaiting its announcement were relatively disappointed that the most recent Direct event focused on the museum instead of the Switch.

The recent speculation made by an insider now gives hope to fans that new games and the Switch 2 may potentially be announced in another Direct event.
