T-Mobile will start selling the flagship LG G3 in its retail stores on July 16, but interested customers can now pre-order the device from the carrier.
The T-Mobile LG G3 will start shipping to pre-order customers on July 15, i.e. one day before the smartphone's retail launch in T-Mobile stores.
The LG G3 is one of the strongest smartphones of this year, launching as a real powerhouse with a slew of top-notch specs and features. T-Mobile highlights just how much its subscribers want this new smartphone, revealing that it had 74,000 entries as part of its Open Beta Sweepstakes that offered the handset. Of all those entries, 28 lucky winners were chosen to be among the first U.S. customers to get an LG G3 before the device hits store shelves.
"T-Mobile has already trumped the competition by becoming the first and only major national wireless provider to bring the new flagship LG G3 to customers early. Today, the Un-carrier announced a device pre-order that allows customers to reserve their new LG G3 weeks in advance of the device hitting participating T-Mobile retail stores on July 16," the carrier touts in its announcement.
"Since the LG G3 Open Beta Sweepstakes began, people have been clamoring for the powerhouse phone on T-Mobile's data-strong network, as evidenced through the amazing participation during the last month. The sweepstakes garnered over 74,000 entrants, resulting in 28 lucky winners who were among the first in the country to receive this flagship smartphone before retail availability."
For those unfamiliar with the device, the new LG G3 boasts a stunning 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display with a whopping resolution that's four times higher than the normal HD resolution. T-Mobile highlights that the LG G3 is its first phone in the U.S. to boast such a display.
The LG G3 further comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Laser Autofocus Technology, and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.
According to T-Mobile, the LG G3 will launch with enhanced 4G LTE data speeds and be available with its zero annual service contract and no hidden costs. The smartphone costs $598.80 with no contract, while the SIM Starter Kit costs an additional $10.
