LG has just announced two new handsets, the LG L Bello and LG L Fino, which bring some popular features to the mid-range segment of the smartphone market.
While most companies are keeping their latest devices on hold for now to unveil them at the upcoming IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin this September, it looks like LG couldn't wait that long. The company went ahead and introduced its two latest handsets on Thursday, Aug. 21, unveiling the new LG L Bello and LG L Fino. The two smartphones will make an appearance at IFA as well, but we already have the scoop on what they'll bring to the table.
"The L Fino and L Bello continue LG's signature Rear Key button design and come equipped with a class-leading 8MP camera and proprietary UX features that make snapping pictures fun and easy. Consumer behavior research shows that the camera is one of the key deciding factors for first time and teenage customers when choosing a smartphone. LG's new L Series offers the better camera among smartphones in the same category ensuring that users get quality, blur-free images that are perfect for sharing," touts the press release.
"With their competitive specs and accessible pricing, we have high hopes for the L Fino and L Bello to continue our successful expansion into emerging markets," adds Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "Our newest L Series smartphones represent the best of LG in design, hardware and UX as well as our commitment to bringing best smartphone experience to 3G customers as many as possible."
LG L Fino
The LG L Fino comes with a 4.5-inch WVGA display, a quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, and a 1,900 mAh battery. Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front shooter, and 4GB of internal storage capacity, with no mention of microSD support for additional memory. Available colors will include black, white, gold, and red.
LG G Bello
The slightly more powerful LG G Bello sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage capacity, again with no mention of microSD support. The rear camera remains the same as the LG L Fino model at 8 megapixels, but gets Auto Focus, while the front shooter is a 1-megapixel unit. This model also packs a larger 2,540 mAh battery and will be available in black, white, and gold color options.
As LG itself noted in the press release, both the LG L Bello and the L Fino handsets will sport the company's Rear Key design, and will also pack popular software features such as Knock Code and Gesture Shot. LG has yet to announce pricing details for the devices, but their specs indicate a budget-friendly price point. The LG L Fino and L Bello will make their commercial debut later this month in Asia, Europe, and Latin America, with other countries to follow afterwards.
