With the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus now official, Samsung has the perfect ammunition to take its Apple mockery to the next level.
Samsung was the one to start this whole trend of increasingly bigger displays on smartphones, constantly pushing the limit and blurring the lines between phones and tablets. Apple has so far stuck to smaller screen sizes for its iPhones, which topped at 4 inches up until now.
Despite its best efforts to fight the trend and prove that smaller smartphones are just as capable, Apple ultimately caved in and launched its new-generation iPhones with larger displays. More specifically, the new iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone 6 Plus boasts a massive 5.5-inch screen.
As expected, Samsung couldn't simply stand by and watch Apple change its mind without mocking its strategy. First, the Galaxy maker pointed to the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs' opinion about bigger smartphones, famously saying back in 2010 that "no one is going to buy a big phone." Seeing the new iPhones, Samsung tweeted the image above.
Things are heating up even further, however, as Samsung has now taken its mockery to the next level. In a new series of funny commercials, the company continues to ridicule Apple to the point of no return.
The six new ads from Samsung featyre a couple of far-from-genius Apple Geniuses. One of the ads, for instance, shows the not-so-bright duo getting all worked up about the bigger screens Apple packed on the new-generation iPhones, only to realize that it's not that big of a deal considering the rest of the mobile world.
As expected, Samsung also boasts the new Galaxy Note 4's impressive features, as opposed to what the new iPhones have to offer. Another clip, meanwhile, mocks Apple's botched live stream of its launch event on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
"You can't handle a live stream? This is unbelievable. I don't know what your problem is. You work in technology, you can't handle this? Unbelievable," one of the Apple Geniuses tells the other.
Long story short, Apple has been the target of a lot of ridicule, with many claiming that its iPhone 6 "innovations" are just catching up to what Android has been offering for quite some time. Samsung obviously couldn't pass on the chance to make more fun of its archrival, and the result is quite delicious. Check out the new Samsung ads below.
