Samsung Galaxy Note 4 proves its toughness and durability in brutal drop tests (VIDEO)

The Samsung Galaxy Note is durable, according to Samsung, and the company has now released a video of the handset withstanding a series of drop tests to prove it.

In the aftermath of the whole #bendgate fiasco surrounding rival iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung again boasts its Galaxy Note 4's superiority. The company has now published a new video that shows its massive phablet brutalized in a set of factory resilience tests.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the hottest devices of this year and is ready to make its commercial debut in the U.S. next week, on Oct. 17. While specs and features are of great importance when choosing a device, durability is also paramount. High-end flagships don't come cheap, but who would want to invest a small fortune in something that wouldn't survive the occasional drop or bump?

Samsung now wants to convince consumers that its Galaxy Note 4 is not only a real powerhouse with top-notch specs and features all around, it's also tough and durable. The video shows how the Galaxy Note 4 handles more than a few drops and does so just fine, which suggests that it should be quite durable.

The Galaxy Note 4 boasts a massive 5.7-inch display with a whopping QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. In a few of these drops, the phablet lands right on its display, yet nothing appears to be shattered, cracked, or otherwise affected.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or an octa-core Samsung Exynos 5433 (depending on region) under the hood, paired with a hefty 3GB of RAM. The device comes in a choice of 32GB or 64GB of internal storage capacity, while other specs include a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 3.7-megapixel front shooter. In terms of software, the Galaxy Note 4 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, with Samsung's own TouchWiz UI on top.

In other words, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 boasts notable improvements on all fronts compared to its predecessor, and its tough exterior will most likely be a bonus for interested customers. Check out the video below to see Samsung's drop tests for the Galaxy Note 4.
