Samsung officially unveiled its new-generation Galaxy Note 4 earlier this month and the phablet has now gone up for pre-order ahead of its Oct. 17 commercial launch.
When the company took the wraps off its latest Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, it offered plenty of details but failed to provide an exact launch date. On Friday, Sept. 19, the two phablets have officially gone up for pre-order, and Samsung also announced that they will hit retail on Oct. 17.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and it definitely doesn't disappoint. The new-generation flagship phablet from Samsung boasts notable improvements over its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 3, which was already a powerhouse on its own.
As a reminder, the new Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a whopping QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, sports a more durable metal frame and packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor under the hood, paired with 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 4 also rocks a 16-megapixel rear shooter, a notable upgrade from the Galaxy Note 3's 13-megapixel rear camera. The phablet also has a soft-touch rear panel that comes in black or white color options, making it look stylish and feel comfortable in the hand.
The popular S Pen also received some neat new functionality that makes it even more efficient, while the device's 3,220 mAh battery again marks a neat upgrade over the Galaxy Note 3. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 can charge up to 50 percent battery in just 30 minutes.

Samsung is now offering a guaranteed $200 to Galaxy Note 4 pre-order customers if they trade in any working smartphone, regardless of whether the device is actually worth less.
