Boost Mobile iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus coming soon: Prices & options

Prepaid Sprint division Boost mobile will start offering Apple's latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus soon, with no annual contracts or monthly bills.

In other words, Boost Mobile customers will be able to purchase the latest iPhones off-contract, but will have to pay full retail price for the devices. It's worth pointing out that although the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available contract-free, the smartphones will still be locked to Boost Mobile's network.

Boost Mobile is a Sprint unit that offers only prepaid service, and customers have to pay upfront for whatever they want. This means that customers have to pay full price for a device from Boost Mobile, pick a mobile plan, and add money to their account from time to time in order to enjoy service.

While interested customers will have to pay full price for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus through Boost Mobile, the two smartphones cost $100 less than they typically retail for off-contract.

More specifically, the iPhone 6 will be available in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB models for $549.99, $649.99, and $749.99, respectively, while the iPhone 6 Plus in the same 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB configurations will cost $649.99, $749.99, and $849.99, respectively.

Boost Mobile offers devices without requiring annual contracts or monthly bills, and has three different mobile plans with unlimited talk and text, as well as cellular data. The low-end plan, for instance, comes with 1GB of data at 3G or 4G speeds, the mid-range one offers 5GB of data, while the higher-end plan comes with 10GB of data.

The low-end plan costs $35 per month, the mid-range one comes in at $45 per month, and the high-end one goes up to $55 per month. These prices are promotional, however, as Boost Mobile has shaved $5 off the price of its plans until Nov. 3. Boost charges no monthly fees and no overage charges, but customers have to add money to their account periodically if they want to keep the service going.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have already proved to be widely popular, and they are already available from all major carriers in the U.S. With Boost Mobile now joining the party next week, on Oct. 17, interested customers will have even more options to choose from.
