The next-generation HTC One M9 is expected to launch in the first months of next year and now its alleged front panel has leaked online.
The current HTC One M8 is considered one of the hottest smartphones available on the market, boasting top-notch specs and features all around. Its successor is expected to be even more impressive, sporting notable improvements on all fronts.
Not too long ago, some alleged specifications leaked for the purported HTC One M9, and now the handset's front panel has made its way online to paint a clearer picture of what to expect.
The newly-leaked images come from French publication Nowhereelse and allegedly show the 5.5-inch front panel of the next-generation HTC One M9, which is expected to rock a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Previous leaks, meanwhile, revealed that the HTC One M9 would pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.7GHz and paired with Adreno 420 graphics, as well as a hefty 3GB of RAM. Moreover, rumor has it that this handset will also feature a new 16-megapixel rear camera, which would mean that HTC will no longer be including its UltraPixel technology in its new flagship smartphone.
Other rumored specs include a 3,500 mAh battery to keep things up and running, Bose Audio (replacing the Beats Audio from previous iterations, now that Apple purchased Beats), and the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS version out of the box.
In terms of appearance, the HTC One M9 is expected to retain the highly-acclaimed design of the One M7 and One M8, boasting a stylish form factor and a premium build.
It's all in the rumor state for now, however, as all of the aforementioned details are based solely on rumors, leaks and speculation at this point. As always in such cases, it is highly advisable to take everything with a grain of salt until a formal unveiling.
HTC is expected to take the wraps off its new-generation HTC One M9 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, which takes place in February. We'll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as more information becomes available, so stay tuned.
