New Moto X (2014) just $349 off-contract from Republic Wireless – Today only!

The new Moto X (2014) is in for a neat discount from Republic Wireless, as the carrier is now slashing $50 off the regular pricing.

Moto X deals have become quite customary ever since the first generation of the smartphone. Motorola launched its original Moto X last year with mid-range specifications on board, but offered unprecedented and unparalleled customization options. The handset drew lots of attention, but many still found its price to be a bit high for the specs it had to offer. Motorola ran several promotions for its Moto X and each time the smartphone sold like hot cakes, vanishing off store shelves in no time.

The new Moto X (2014) now boasts notable improvements on all fronts compared to its predecessor, while still retaining the high customization options that made the original model so popular. Recently a number of carriers, manufacturers, and online retailers have been slashing the price of the second-generation Moto X as well, and now Republic Wireless is joining the party.

Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 8 AM PT/ 11AM ET the Moto X will be available for $349 off-contract, i.e. $50 off the regular pricing. The deal will last for 24 hours only, as it will end on Dec. 11 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. Interested customers can get the discount either directly through Republic Wireless' website or through Moto Maker.

Just recently, Republic Wireless announced that it will start selling the new Moto X (2014) on Dec. 10 for $399, which was already $100 cheaper than the handset's regular off-contract pricing of $499.

It's worth pointing out, however, that although Republic Wireless is selling the new Moto X (2014) without a contract, those who purchase the smartphone have to stay on its network in order to actually use it. Republic Wireless is an MVNO and works slightly different from other carriers.

Lastly, the carrier also noted that customers will not be able to use Cyber Monday codes obtained from Motorola.

"Some of you have asked us about the Motorola promo code you snagged on Cyber Monday. These codes aren't going to work on any purchase through our store or Moto Maker, but have no fear! You're still getting a $50 discount at checkout! This offer cannot be combined with other promo codes," explains the announcement.

With that said, you can find the new Moto X (2014) product page on Motorola's website at this link. When the smartphone goes live, the button will change from "Coming Soon" to "Add to Cart," and although it appears with a $399 price tag, the $50 discount will be applied at checkout on Dec. 10.
