HP Spectre 13 x360 convertible laptop spotted in Europe, packs impressive specs

HP is apparently getting ready to launch a new convertible PC, as evidence of a new Spectre 13 x360 2-in-1 has just surfaced in Europe.

As the name itself suggests, the upcoming convertible device will join HP's lineup of 2-in-1 laptops. The HP Spectre 13 x360 is also expected to come as a premium offering, as the company typically reserves the Spectre brand for its high-end notebooks.

HP has yet to officially launch the Spectre 13 x360 in the U.S., or other parts of the world for that matter, but Tablet PC Italia spotted the device in Europe.

The HP Spectre 13 x360 will come with a 13.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, pack Intel Core Broadwell processors and 8GB of RAM, and feature a slim case of just 0.6 inches in thickness. Pushing the screen back 360 degrees thanks to its special hinge will allow the device to serve as a tablet. Although the screen may be small, the device seems to pack big specs all around.

More specifically, the HP Spectre 13 x360 will reportedly come in several configurations, including models with Core i5 or Core i7 Broadwell chips and 256GB or 512GB of solid state storage. Each model will apparently support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, as well as Intel WiDi wireless display. The device will also feature three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a mini DisplayPort, and an SD card slot. The upcoming HP convertible laptop will further boast a backlit keyboard, offer a 10-hour battery life on a single charge, and weigh in at just 3.3lbs.

The yet-to-be-announced HP Spectre 13 x360 convertible laptop is expected to be available both in Europe and the U.S., but it remains unclear at this point just when exactly it will make its official debut. Pricing is expected to start at €1,299 in Europe, which indicates quite a hefty price tag for the U.S. as well.

As previously mentioned, HP has yet to offer official launch and pricing details for this new Spectre 13 x360, but is expected to formally introduce the device soon enough. We'll keep you up to date as soon as it does, so stay tuned.
