ASUS is officially launching its latest ZenBook UX305 in the U.S., unleashing the ultra-thin notebook at an aggressive price point.
The latest ASUS ZenBook UX305 comes with high-end specs and features for its price range, and boasts a sleek design with a svelte aluminum unibody. The device measures just 12.3mm in thickness and tips the scale at 1.2kg.
"The light, agile UX305 epitomizes elegance with an Obsidian Stone color, enhanced by the signature concentric circle aluminum cover design, and subtle diamond-cut edges that further highlight its understated beauty," ASUS touts on the product page.
The new ultrabook is not all about looks, however, as it comes with some powerful specifications for its price point. The ASUS UX305 sports a 13.3-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, packs a dual-core Intel Core M-5Y10 processor under the hood, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB solid state drive (SSD). The laptop further features Bluetooth 4.0, a micro-HDMI port, three USB 3.0 ports, and promises to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life.
"The ultra-slim and stylish ZenBook UX305 profile is complemented by an ultra-sharp 13.3-inch Full HD in-plane switching (IPS) display that delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution, 170-degree viewing angles, and includes an anti-glare matte finish. According to ASUS, the latest ZenBook UX305 can even compete in the Core i5 class thanks to its 8GB of RAM, fast SSD, and good processor. The UX305's 236GB SSD is reportedly nearly six times faster than conventional 500GB hard drives, allowing for a fast and smooth performance.
The ASUS ZenBook UX305 also comes with a fanless design that not only makes it quiet, but also energy-efficient.
