Sprint announces exclusive Best Buy One Plan – ‘Industry-first, all inclusive’

Sprint and Best Buy have a new deal in place to offer an exclusive new plan set to become available on Sunday, March 1.

Aiming to simplify the wireless selection process for prospective customers, the new Best Buy One Plan will be exclusively available at Best Buy locations nationwide and will offer unlimited talk, text, and data, as well as "the hottest Sprint smartphones," for a low monthly price (before taxes and fees). Sprint and Best Buy boast that this new plan is an "industry first, all inclusive plan."

"Customers told us they wanted an easier, more simplified way to get a phone. With the Best Buy One Plan, that's exactly what we're offering," Jaime Jones, president, Postpaid Consumer and General Business Sales, Sprint, touted in a new press release on Friday, Feb. 27. "Best Buy One is the industry's first all-inclusive plan, offering one price for unlimited talk, text and data and the phone. It's that easy."

Under this new deal, eligible customers can visit a Best Buy store and lease an iPhone 6 16GB with unlimited talk, text, and data on Sprint's network for $65 per month (excluding taxes and fees) for two years, or an Android device such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the LG G3 with unlimited talk, text and data on Sprint's network, starting at $75 per month (excluding taxes and fees) for two years. The plan will require no money down and no sales tax at the time of purchase.

Interested customers can also choose other devices for lease, but pricing may vary depending on device. Moreover, customers can choose to pay an extra $10 per month for a 12-month lease option, with the chance to upgrade every year. At the same time, customers who activate a new line of service before March 28 will also get a $200 Best Buy gift card.

According to the two companies, customers can save up to $1,300 over two years on this exclusive new Best Buy One Plan, compared to similar options on other national carriers.

"This is the least expensive option for consumers to get the latest smartphone and an all-inclusive plan to go with it," said Scott Anderson, vice president of mobile phones at Best Buy.

The new Best Buy One Plan will be available at all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores starting on March 1, and will allow both new customers and existing customers upgrading into a lease to take advantage of it.
