Verizon HTC One M9 pre-orders go live: Pricing & Options

Verizon Wireless has officially started taking pre-orders for the HTC One M9 powerhouse, offering the handset on- or off-contract, as well as on monthly installment plans.

The HTC One M9 flagship is expected to be one of the most popular smartphones of this year, and is already shaping up to be in great demand. The handset made its debut back at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in early April, boasting top-notch specs and features all around.

As expected, the latest flagship smartphone from HTC also retains the highly-acclaimed design of the HTC One series, rocking a sleek aluminum body that makes it look and feel premium.

In terms of specifications, the new HTC One M9 sports a 5-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which may disappoint some who expected a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood, the handset packs the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, with four cores clocked at 2GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5GHz.

Other specs of the HTC One M9 include 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB, a 20-megapixel rear camera, an UltraPixel front shooter, and a 2,840 mAh battery to keep things up and running. Android 5.0 Lollipop rocks the software front, with HTC Sense 7.0 on top.

Moreover, the HTC One M9 also comes with a special "Uh-Oh" protection, which will replace your smartphone in case you damage it by cracking its screen, drowning it in liquid, running over it with a car, and what-not.

The HTC One M9 powerhouse is now available for pre-order from Verizon Wireless in the U.S., sporting a $199.99 price tag when agreeing to sign a two-year service agreement with the carrier. Otherwise, the smartphone is also available for $24.99 per month with Verizon Edge, or $599.99 outright, without a contract.

As expected, Verizon will start shipping the HTC One M9 to pre-order customers on April 10. For more information about the smartphone or to place a pre-order now, head over to the product page on Verizon Wireless' website at this link.

Lastly, Verizon will also give you $200 or more when you trade in an old smartphone toward the purchase of an HTC One M9 on a Verizon Edge plan.
