The curved-display LG G Flex 2 is expanding its U.S. availability, as the handset is all set to join AT&T's lineup on Friday, April 24.
The original LG G Flex stirred plenty of interest last year due to its intriguing form factor with an ergonomic curvature, and its successor now boasts notable improvements on all fronts.
The LG G Flex 2 made its official debut back in January at the CES 2015, rocking impressive specs and features all around. Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to start offering the curved-display powerhouse, followed by U.S. Cellular a while after. AT&T is now joining the party, but its pricing doesn't sound too attractive.
More specifically, AT&T will be selling the LG G Flex 2 for $299.99 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract, or for $709 outright, contract-free. The handset will also be available with monthly installments with $0 down, followed by $23.64 per month for 30 months, $29.55 per month for 24 months, or $34.35 per month for 20 months with AT&T Next options.
It's worth pointing out that Sprint has been offering the LG G Flex 2 since March, and its prices are considerably lower than what AT&T is charging for the same device. For instance, the smartphone costs $199.99 on-contract from Sprint, and $504 contract-free, at full retail price, which means that AT&T is asking $100 more for the device on-contract and $200 more outright.
For those unfamiliar with the handset, the LG G Flex 2 features a 5.5-inch flexible P-OLED display with a full HD 1080p resolution, a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, and microSD support for additional memory of up to 2TB.
Other specs of the LG G Flex 2 include a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus, a 2.1-megapixel front shooter, and a 3,000 mAh fast-charge battery. The smartphone ships with an LG Fast Charger included in the box. On the software side, the handset runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
If you're interested in the AT&T LG G Flex 2 despite is hefty pricing, you can find out more about the handset from the carrier's press release here, or its website at this link. As previously mentioned, the device will become available for purchase this Friday, April 24.
