U.S. Cellular will start selling the LG G Flex 2 curved-display smartphone in Platinum Silver on Thursday, March 26, both online and in retail stores.
The LG G Flex 2 made its debut back in January at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015, boasting notable improvements on all fronts compared to its predecessor. The handset rocks a curved 5.5-inch display, self-healing coating, a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery, among the highlights.
Sprint has already launched the LG G Flex 2 a while ago on its network, and U.S. Cellular is now ready to join the party.
"At U.S. Cellular, we strive to provide the best wireless experience by providing the latest devices, a high quality network and national coverage that keeps customers connected in cities and rural communities," Joe Settimi, vice president of marketing for U.S. Cellular, said in a press release on Tuesday, March 24. "LG has created a unique device that is packed with cutting-edge features, and we are thrilled to bring our first curved smartphone to our customers."
"With the G Flex 2, we're continuing to raise the bar in smartphone innovation," added Morris Lee, senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing, LG Electronics MobileComm USA Inc. "This is the perfect phone for those looking to enhance their mobile experience with powerful functionality that harnesses exceptionally designed hardware."
The LG G Flex 2 has stirred plenty of interest since its debut due to its high-end specs and features, and its self-healing coating increases its durability, as it allows the handset to automatically recover from scuffs and scratches.
U.S. Cellular has now announced that the LG G Flex 2 will be available for purchase both online and in stores starting on Thursday, March 26, for $150 when agreeing to sign a two-year service agreement. The smartphone will also be available for $31.50 per month for 20 months on U.S. Cellular's installment option, or the full retail price of $630.
U.S. Cellular customers who want to purchase the LG G Flex 2 on installment pricing can terminate their current plan, port their number to the shared connect plan, and have U.S. cellular pay off their early termination fee (ETF) of up to $350 per line.
