Selfie lovers now have a new smartphone to support their narcissistic urges, as the BLU Selfie handset caters specifically to this aspect, as the name itself suggests.
As one can imagine, the Blu Selfie smartphone focuses mainly on taking high-quality selfies, delivering neat camera specs and features. The handset boasts two 13-megapixel cameras with Sony IMX135 sensors, so the rear shooter doesn't get more love than the selfie cam.
For the perfect selfie, BLU also equipped its Selfie smartphone with BLU Final Touch software that allows users to enhance their images by removing blemishes, thinning their face, enhancing the lighting, or making the skin smoother and brighter. The four Blu Final Touch features are called Eye Modification, Face Thinner, Smooth Skin, and Skin Brightener.
The front camera promises to deliver quality images even in low-light environments, as it features a "Glam flash" that will provide a soft lighting for a clear self-shot with no filters.
"No matter if you are in the park at night or in a night club, the 13 Megapixel camera and the Glam flash are the perfect combination for an impeccable photo, so put it to the test," BLU touts.
The rear shooter, meanwhile, is able to capture 1080p video at 30 frames-per-second (FPS), and offers an 88-degree wide angle to "provide you a camera experience like you have never seen before."
When it comes to the rest of the specifications, the BLU Selfie phone features a 4.7-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, complete with Gorilla Glass 3 protection for extra scratch-resistance, and packs a 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor under the hood, paired with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 64GB, and a Wolfston WM8918 audio chip for high-quality audio.
On the software side, the BLU Selfie smartphone ships with Android 4.4 KitKat on board out of the box, and it remains unclear for now whether it will receive an update to the newer Android 5.0 Lollipop anytime soon.
