The ASUS ZenFone 2 variant with 4GB of RAM will be on sale for just $336.99 for one day only on Thursday, May 7.
ASUS stirred plenty of interest back in early 2014 when it unveiled its original ZenFone series, and has since grown in popularity, making a name for itself in the highly-competitive smartphone market. The latest iteration now takes things up a notch and is expected to be more popular.
The ASUS ZenFone 2 retains the affordability aspect of its predecessor, aiming to offer neat specifications and a good performance without breaking the bank. A ZenFone 2 variant with 2GB of RAM under the hood is already available for purchase in a number of markets worldwide, retailing for roughly $200 - $300. The higher-end variant of the smartphone, however, stirred more interest, as it came as the first handset to boast a whopping 4GB of RAM. This variant is expected to retail for roughly $450 in most regions, but it will be available at a much lower price point as part of a special one-day deal.
On Thursday, May 7, online retailer AliExpress will be selling the ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity for just $339.99, in a new 24-hour deal. After the sale runs its course, the smartphone will return to its regular price of $449.32.
As a reminder, the ASUS ZenFone 2 with 4GB of RAM further sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and packs a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor under the hood, paired with a Power VR G6430 graphics processing unit (GPU). Other specs include 64GB of internal storage capacity, microSD support for additional memory of up to 64GB, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery.
With these specifications on board and an attractive $336.99, the ASUS ZenFone 2 with 4GB of RAM sounds like an exciting deal. The special pricing allows for savings of more than $100, and it likely won't get any cheaper than that.
As previously mentioned, the deal is good for one day and one day only, so interested customers might want to keep an eye on AliExpress' website on Thursday, May 7.
