Microsoft has announced the official prices of the new OS, Windows 10, in Europe.
The tech community has been talking about Windows 10 since rumors of its release began circulating online. News of a free Windows 10 upgrade for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PC users during the first year of the system's availability was met with positive response.
Talks on its pricing for those who are not eligible for having the free upgrade generated from its high figures.
The entire Windows 10 Home License amounts to $109.99, claimed Newegg, the highly popular online computer hardware retailer. The same site announced that the Pro Version is priced at $149.99, but Neowin reported that Microsoft has since confirmed that the Windows 10 Home is $119. The Pro version costs $199 in the United States. They were more expensive than Newegg announced.
Users who are eligible for the free upgrade can reserve the new OS starting June 24 as Microsoft released a how-to app bearing prices and instructions to use the new OS, named the Get Windows 10 App.
The free app has indicated international pricing, showing that the new OS's Home version will cost £99.99 in the United Kingdom. It will be sold at €135 in Europe. These prices were announced by Windows Central today.
These costs show that the new operating system amounts to the same price as the full license Windows 8.1, the OS released late last year. Windows 10 will be available on July 29. It will be released in over 190 markets in the world. On the release date, users can avail of the free upgrade, PCAdvisor reported.
Microsoft said in its official site that the new OS will be "familiar, productive, personal, and flexible." A Windows insider claims that it "combines the strengths of Windows 7 and Windows 8".
Updates confirmed by Microsoft said that the new OS will have Xbox-One in app form. It will also have a browser called Edge, which was formerly known as Spartan.
