The past few days brought mobile companies to the spotlight. Apple has been the target of recent photo leaks. Images of the iPhone 6S, which is yet to be launched, have made its rounds online. The photos have first been released in the Apple monitoring website, 9to5mac.
Images show the outer shell of the device. The new model could have a body that is longer than its 4.8-inch predecessor, the iPhone 6. The width and thickness are identical to the iPhone 6 Plus. If the leaked images were real, the exterior of the latest phone is the same as that of the iPhone 6 Plus.
The holes on its backside suggest that persistent rumors of a camera with two lenses for the device may be dashed. There are holes for a camera, an LED light, and a microphone. The rumors being true may still be possible, but seems unlikely to be given the design. The position and size of the holes seem to indicate only one lens. Also, notable in the casing is that it still shows antenna lines.
The interior shows more major changes, as the iPhone 6S is rumored to have a smaller motherboard. This means that the device will be able to hold a bigger battery capacity. Netizens really hope for a battery capacity of more than 2,915 mAh, the biggest so far for iPhones.
The device will be pitted against smartphones like Oneplus and LG, which have battery capacities of over 3,000 mAh.
The casing can only say so much about the improvements made on the new model. So far, netizens are looking forward to confirm the other features rumored to be in the new Iphone, specifically the sensor feature. No new reports have come up about it yet. So, let's all keep an eye on this.
The iPhone 6S is set to be released in October 2015.
