Consider Getting Your Next Smartphone from China

When you are looking for a new smartphone, there are many options to buy one from the US though you may also consider some different brands overseas. You'll find them especially in places such as Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. But have you ever noticed that China has been left out? Well, not any longer.

Chinese brands now think that they can take on popular brands like Apple and Samsung. The Chinese brands have said they have big plans to achieve this.

iPhones would cost you a lot of money. Money most people do not have, especially in developing countries. But the Chinese smartphones look just like iPhones. The only difference is the price and some unique features. Who wouldn't want a cheaper phone with something new?

There are some Chinese brand names you will want to know. According to Huawei spokesman's Bill Plummer, the number 4 smartphone marker now wants to launch their phones in the U.S. The company has been planning to enter the U.S. market for a while. They even changed their name for a short amount of time to "futurewei" but didn't last long with that name.

Xiaomi is the only company that doesn't actually have any certain plans to enter the U.S smartphone market. Xiaomi has stated that it doesn't think that the US is the right place for them.

One Plus is a start-up company that has really made ways to give its own name a good shot. The company has managed to sell a high-end $249 smartphone model by only having an 'invitation'. Its western staff is targeting the U.S customers on social media. They have created a certain mystery on their marketing strategy -- posing this query to many: Why invitation only?

ZTE has big plans this year. They want to achieve an ambition goal of doubling their U.S. footprint. ZTE wants to make sure that it becomes the 3rd smartphone maker in the U.S. This place is currently being held by Korean electronics. ZTE design and produce lower-end phones, making them affordable for everyone.

Lenovo has become world's 3rd smartphone maker. They have achieved this after buying Motorola last year. But Motorola is only commanding 5% share of the U.S. smartphone market. Even so, Lenovo has still managed to get to the 4th position in the American smartphone market.

Did you know LeTV is actually one of the biggest brands in China? They launched their first smartphone on May 19th. It sold over 300,000 phones in just 3 seconds, having 3 million interested customers registered to buy it. LeTV is China's Netflix, by the way. But since it is not known in the US, it has prompted the team to hire the American JD Howard to help LeTV burst into the U.S. smartphone scene.

Providing free movies and TV shows along with a superior sound technology, LeTV is making sure to start small and market mostly to the Chinese-Americans first, hoping they are already familiar with the company.
