Apple Orders The Biggest Smartphone Supply This Year

California-based tech giant Apple has reportedly ordered 85 million to 90 million units of mobile phones from its suppliers in Asia. The mobile division of the Apple brand is known to release new models, occasionally more than once in a year.

The specifications of the units ordered are 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. These are the sizes of Apple's newest flagships. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are two of Apple's best-selling smartphone models. iPhone 6S is set to be launched in October.

The bulk order is expected to be delivered to the company later this year. Last year, Apple has initially ordered 70 million to 80 million smartphone units for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. But the company projects higher demands this year, with the arrival of the new flagship.

Apple's smartphone sales have been good in the last couple of months. The company has claimed that it sold 135 million units over the last six months of the year. It is an increase of almost fifty percent from the past year. The smartphone market of the US brand has held over 60 percent of the company's total sales.

The smartphone brand is reported to get another supplier to bring the 85-90 million-unit order. It is Apple's biggest so far. Wistron may also build Apple's new models to meet the demands faster.

The company is also reported to be the best-selling smartphone brand in China, turf of popular smart device startups Xiaomi and OnePlus. Apple's expanding market is expected to grow even more with the release of the iPhone 6S. The device's specs and designs have been leaked a few days before.

Showing a look very similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the new model, which reportedly comes with a finger sensor and a larger battery capacity, is expected to perform well in sales.
